Lukas Bakery in La Grange

Anyone who rated Lukas Bakery less than 5 stars need to have their heads examined. We bought some pigs, cream puffs, and cherrie nut cookies which were all excellent. As an afterthought we bought a fruit cake which was marked down half price now that the holiday season is officially over. Wow this no doubt is the best fruitcake ever! I know I'll be making another trip soon!

This is the best pastry shop in Central Texas. The pigs-in-a-blanket are out of this world! And don’t forget the cherry pistachio cookies or donut holes. Get there early—they sell out quick!

I grew up in LaGrange and would go to Lukas on my way to school of the morning. My two favorite are the Pigs and Cream Puffs. I have moved to Tenneessee but every time I come to visit family in Bay City Texas I call Lukas and reserve at least a dozen Pigs and a dozen Cream Puffs a day in advance. I drive the extra three hours just to have the best I have ever known. It is worth the time and the money every time.

I've been coming to this bakery for 30 years.I've traveled the world, and to this day I have found NONE that can compare.-Everything is hand made, and it is still family owned.-They have the absolute BEST Kolaches and Pigs in a Blanket that you will ever put in your mouth.- I have been known to drive 100 miles out of my way to stock up on the best bakery offerings in the worldDO NOT SETTLE for less! There are other imitations, and I've tried them all. Lukas Bakery is the best!

Grew up eating at this bakery since the 70's. Still my favorite bakery of them all. Love stopping by and getting food here still to this day.

Don’t tell anyone this is the real bakery in LaGrange. They’ve been making kolaches, pigs in the blanket and cherry cookies since hruska’s gramma was tiny enough to teeth on one. They don’t mess around so u have to get here awful early to nab a pig or a kolache don’t look for dates on the bags because they started that dough that morning. They don’t sit on a shelf for days like the big place on the highway.

Best bakery in town! The old fashioned equipment is still used to prepare the food. Family owned and operated.

Pigs in a blanket are delicious,great bread to meat ratio,with a very authentic taste.

They have the best Pigs-N-the-Blankets and Kolaches in the world. I travel through at least 4 times a year to get my fix. It has been there since my parents were children and still family owned and operated with all fresh ingredients and no preservatives. It doesn't get any better than that.
